The Resource Recovery Forum held a conference on November 30 in London on household waste prevention, driven by new EU legislation and a wealth of new studies from the UK Government and beyond. With the involvement of Defra, the Welsh Assembly Government, WRAP and other key agencies, this event offered a valuable guide to the complex world of waste prevention.

The event, sponsored by Sita (UK) was also the occasion for the UK launch of a new book published by the European Association of Cities and regions for Recycling (ACR+) Municipal waste management in Europe.
