Can we change a rubbish habit?

RRF collaborated with Project Integra and the Open University to hold an international conference on changing behaviour - the social context of household waste management.

The theme of the day was an exploration of behavioural change and the social context of household waste management. The morning speakers presented a range of perspectives on promoting sustainable behaviours, followed after lunch by a session on the results of Hampshire County Council and Project Integra’s recycling and waste minimisation behavioural change campaign.
The event "Can we change a rubbish habit?" brought together eminent experts in the field, including:

RRF worked with Eden Project and Urban Mines to explore prospects for Resource Recovery Parks (Eco-parks). Barriers, opportunities, case studies and more. The conference is supported by the National Industrial Symbiosis Programme (NISP).

Enthusiasm for Resource Recovery Parks (RRP) has grown in recent years as industrial symbiosis proponents claim increases in resource efficiency coupled with reduced economic and environment impacts. This conference explored the truth of these assertions, through presentations from experts with real experience of RRPs, their planning and development.
